All specimens which are required to go to pathology laboratory need to be handed in at reception by 1pm Monday to Friday.
Our practice Nurse/Healthcare Assistant are happy to discuss many aspects of prevention of illness including advice on diet and exercise. Our Practice Nurse is also happy to discuss holiday vaccinations.
Health Checks - Patients aged between 16 and 75 years
Patients between the ages of 16 and 75 years who have not been seen by the doctor in the last 3 years are welcome to make an appointment for a well patient check.
Health Checks - Patients aged over 75 years
Patients aged over 75 years who have not seen the doctor in the last year are also welcome to make an appointment for a well patient check.
Child Health Surveillance
You may make an appointment with Dr Iqbal at the surgery in any clinic.
Child Health clinics for weight checks and feeding issues are appointment only, please contact 0300 304 5555 to discuss further information.
Your antenatal care will be provided by the community midwives at the Midwifery clinic - Floor 2, at Acre Mills, Lindley.
If you are newly pregnant 6weeks or over please contact 01484 355743 to arrange your first appointment.
Please make your first/initial appointment with our Practice Nurse and for repeat/subsequent contraception prescriptions make an appointment with any Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant. Emergency Contraception - please contact the surgery as soon as possible. This can be often dealt with without the need for an appointment, however you will need to speak to a GP or contraception nurse.
Annual Seasonal Flu Clinics
Each year the surgery will hold several seasonal flu clinics for patients over the age of 65 and others who are considered to be at risk should they contact the flu virus. The clinics usually start in late September or early October and patients who come into any of the eligible categories to receive the flu vaccine should enquire at reception about making an appointment.
